In 1949, Bill and Lena Faye Kovener opened a small soft-serve ice cream store in Seymour, Indiana. They converted a Standard Oil gasoline station to the first driveup store in Seymour and offered a variety of flavors including a special Chocolate Malt ice cream. This small building has served tens of thousands of Seymour families and employed over 100 young people through the ensuing 50 summers. A winner of the Seymour Tribune 1998 Readers' Choice Award, it is still in business today owned by Bill and Lena Faye and managed by Tom and Laura Rueger.
